Thank u so much for this ! It came to me at a time when I was really ferling overwhelmed and anxious. I am on a career break since 6 years and now trying to switch or transition or begin my career in AIML amd i cant even begin to explain how big of an imposter I feel like everyday. Ur article brought me back to the one most important thing to do that matters the most! Produce! Well thank u!
Base your learning on setting specific goals (e.g. I want to train my first regression model), and complete them somehow. Do not be a perfectionist. Focus on delivering, and collecting small victories.
On the way, you will learn enough Maths, Python, Data visualizaton... to complete your goal. But keep purpose and focus, otherwise you get lost.
Yes totally. I have registered to so many kaggle competitions in the past but hardly finished any. After responding to ur post I registered for the Bird CLEF kaggke competition and I am really trying my best to apply whatever i learned and solve it. Doesnt matter where I am on the leaderboard but i want to be able to submit entries and improvise on my own performance. Lets see how it goes.
Thanks for this roadmap.
